VFC in partnership with the Aston Villa Shareholders Association are honoured and proud to announce a 'Testimonial' Evening for Ian Taylor and Alan Wright on July 3rd, 7pm until late at The Irish Club, 14-20 High Street, Deritend, Birmingham, B12 0LN.
VFC and the Aston Villa Shareholders Association feel that if the club cannot mark the sterling contribution made to Aston Villa by these players, then it is up to the fans to do so. Ian Taylor and Alan Wright are amongst the club's longest servants and have always given 100% commitment to the club. In the opinion of many fans, the manner in which they were released by the club failed to show them the respect that is due to them - and it highlights the alienation of the Board from so much of the Villa community.
The Evening in their honour, hopefully including further special guests, will cost £10 per head (under 16's £5.00 accompanied by adults) to include a buffet. The profits from the evening will be split between Ian and Alan to go to the charities of their choice. Ian and Alan will also receive a presentation gift each.
This is in no way a protest evening; this is a social evening giving the fans of Aston Villa FC the chance to say goodbye and thank you to Ian and Alan.
Tickets are limited to 600 on a first come first served basis. Cheques payable to VFC, sent WITH A STAMPED ADDRESSED ENVELOPE * to 21 Devonport Close, Redditch, Worc, B97 6TQ by no later than 30th June. (*Tickets can't be sent without stamped envelope!).
